Do you ever imagine your dream home?
Some stories take a minute to write - not because they're hard, but because they're BIG. Dream-big kind of big. Ryan and Lori just closed on their brand-new home in Highlands Ranch, and the whole thing still feels like serendipity.
Let me rewind. Brad helped them buy their home in Highlands Ranch 19 years ago. Now, two remodels and almost two decades later, here we are. We mean it when we say our clients are clients for life!
After nearly twenty years, the idea of packing up and moving wasn't exactly thrilling, but they knew it might be time. Lori reached out to us in late February, ready to start house hunting. Their goal, at the time, was to find space better suited for multi-generational living. No pressure, but they were planning ahead for some anticipated changes.
We hadn't even started looking at houses yet when, on March 1st, their daughter was scrolling on Zillow and inadvertently sped up the process - changing the course of the next few months.
She found "the one". A new build that was the newest version of a floorplan Ryan and Lori had been daydreaming about for years. YEARS!!! We moved quickly (I mean, we literally dropped everything) to get them in to see the model that day. There was exactly one lot that checked all their boxes. One. They slept on it - and thank goodness only one night - because they put their green down and signed a purchase contract the next day.
The foundation was already poured, which meant this thing was moving. FAST. This also meant we needed to get their current home sold. Like, yesterday. We made a plan, and they got to work - cleaned, staged, and elevated their place right out of the neighborhoods league - and it worked! Eight offers. Sold in one weekend. Not just above asking - above appraised value, which is not an easy feat in the current market (insert standing ovation here).
From there, everything clicked. They closed on the sale June 12th and on their shiny new home on June 25th. Furthermore, the real estate gods were smiling down on them (and they had some super savvy negotiators on their side), they got to stay in their old place for FREE until June 29th. This eliminated a great deal of the typical moving chaos and gave them maximum breathing room.
Now they're in their dream home - the one they've been imagining for years. They one they watched being built, week by week (literally, I think they went to the build site at least once a week). Now they get to put in the finishing touches and make it their home.
We could not be happier for this sweet family. This one is special - and we cannot wait to see what they do with it.
