"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."
~ Robert Collier
Ok, Friends! Here is how we are surviving the wild ride that is Q4 in real estate, Colorado-style! This time of year, the market slows down, but we sure as heck don't! While many people are bundling up and staying put, we are racing against the clock with two more deals to close by year-end (speaking of, anyone you know looking to buy or sell before that ball drops?).
Add in business planning for 2025, hosting holiday events, family gatherings, gift shopping, and oh yes, getting our database in tip-top shape - all on top of the general festive madness that is November and December.
We are in full hosting mode for our end-of-year gatherings, including the first ladies' wine night (Vino, Vibes, & A New Tribe - come solo or bring a friend!), the traditional Thanksgiving feast, and an intimate NYE bash to kick the near year off with a bang. Plus, we will be out and about, spreading holiday cheer - don't be surprised if you find us at your door with a festive surprise.
So, how do we handle it all without losing our minds? GREAT QUESTION - Let me know if you have the solution.
Just kidding - We've got this down! We prioritize, plan and, most importantly, stick to the calendar! The trick is to tackle business and personal tasks side-by-side, so we get to enjoy the festivities without missing a beat in our business. Our strategy: First - The big rocks: schedule key business closeouts, holiday events, family gatherings, and those "must do" traditions. Everything else (2025 business planning, social media creatives, house projects, etc.) fills in between and we find time to get it all done without missing out or burning out before NYE...well, at least that's the goal.
Here's a tip: Set a weekly focus day for each type of task. Mondays are our business planning days, Thursdays are for event prep, and Fridays are for holiday shopping (because Christmas shopping typically requires cocktails). Oh, and pro tip - use reminders for EVERYTHING (Google Calendar is my second-best friend...after Nashy, of course).
The holidays are fast, busy, and yes, a little crazy. It is also the most wonderful time of the year, when the most special memories are made and the groundwork is laid for a productive and successful year ahead!!
My holiday wishes (beyond all the "healthy and happy" stuff): A Husker bowl game (hey, I can dream!), closing two more deals before the end of the year to meet our last remaining business goal, and a strong and energized lead into Q1.
