You know that moment when you feel like your calendar is actually laughing at you? It's annoyingly pinging you with back-to-back meetings, last minute showings, action items for DAYS, and a "reminder" that you promised yourself some downtime over a month ago?
That's been the last ten days in our world.
While I've basically been ghosting my social feed, here's what has actually been going on: we got three homes under contract, closed a sale, and chilled for about five minutes...on top of several listing appointments, new buyer consultations, and all the other work and home maintenance activities. We've been sprinting, juggling, negotiating, celebrating, and actively avoiding the laundry.
~ Some dear clients we met almost two years ago finally closed on their dream home in Littleton's Aberdeen Village. This home is gorgeous, timeless, and absolutely worth the wait. The yard is straight out of Better Homes and Gardens!
~ One set of buyers had to walk away from their first contract after an alarming inspection (we're talking red flag city here), only to find a property that is better and in a better location...aaaaand had a much more favorable inspection.

Real estate karma is legit!
~ First-time buyers who were once told by others in the industry, "nah, your budget won't cut it in the areas you want to live." are now under contract on the sweetest single family home in Parker, complete with an adorable yard and room to relax.
~ And our most exhausting win of the week - maintaining our record. We launched a beautiful new listing in Centennial late last week and after MANY showings and a busy open house, we came out the other side with multiple strong offers and are now under contract after only one weekend on the market. If you're not paying attention, that's HUGE in this market! Mad props to our seller who trusted our guidance and nailed her side of the effort.
Work works! We hustle. We LOVE the hustle (well, I love the hustle; B tolerates it with style)...but it doesn't come without a cost.
Here is what we work really hard not to sacrifice: time with the people we love. Once in a lifetime experiences. The things that truly fill our tanks.
Here is what sacrifices we are all too comfortable making: relaxing for no reason, mindless television, and leisure reading. I miss books the most - but I'm slowly stealing these moments back. A page here, a chapter there. It still counts.

But that ever-elusive "balance" I talk about a lot is a myth. Not the intention, but the picture-perfect, evenly weighted scale version of it. Balance is fluid. Sometimes business is heavier. Sometimes personal life needs more air and more attention. Sometimes it all feels like a circus on fire. That's part of the beauty of life.
However, when you run your own business, real balance looks more like ruthless prioritization, efficient systems and processes, and enough adaptability to keep shifting without losing your mind. There is no clocking out at 5pm and leaving the work behind. There is no magic routine that fixes everything. There is simply an ongoing dance between showing up, letting go, and constantly recalibrating.
We love the realistic version of balance, but only because we've fully embraced it in a fluid state.
Now, if anyone can recommend a good book I can read in three-minute increments, I'm all ears!
